THE WAY I DRESS: MR JED LIND!

The LA-based contemporary artist on how he decides what to wear each morning.

As you might expect from an artist whose past work has included geodesic domes assembled from bronze-cast windscreen wipers and aluminium canoe hulls intricately carved to resemble chicken wire, Mr Jed Lind has an unconventional eye for style. The Toronto-born, LA-based artist takes a utilitarian approach to dressing, citing fellow artist Mr Gordon Matta-Clark as an inspiration, and likes clothes that "go the distance" - he even admits to wearing his A.P.C. jeans until they're covered in holes, before chopping them up, covering them in plaster and incorporating them into his artwork. Idiosyncrasies aside, however, and Mr Lind's style is ultimately rooted in some pretty normal values, above all a desire for accurate self-expression: "I think it's really important to choose clothes that tell the right story about who you are," he says. "I ultimately feel that every day you put clothes on, you're always making a statement."

Watch MR PORTER's final instalment of The Way I Dress to hear more of Mr Lind's musings on life and style, including his thoughts on hats, desert boots and beards, and an introduction to the philosophy that he calls "dudism".

THE WAY I DRESS: MR JOHANNES HUEBL!

MR PORTER spent the day with Brooklyn-based photographer & model, Mr Johannes Huebl to see how he chooses what to wear. But, for a minute, forget about Mr Huebl and just focus on that turntable, that furniture, oh and that amazing Burberry Prorsum jacket (shop here!).

His modelling career has seen him grace magazines and billboards around the world, but most know Mr Johannes Huebl as the long-term boyfriend of the beautiful Upper East Side celebutante and paparazzi favourite, Ms Olivia Palermo. As one half of New York's most fashionable power couple, Mr Huebl finds his style choices under scrutiny on an almost daily basis, so it's fortunate that his taste in clothes is classic, reliable and easily adaptable. "A suit is very easy to wear, because it's like a uniform," he says, emphasising the importance of fine tailoring above all else. In this short vid, the Brooklyn-based model, photographer and On The Town regular discusses his opinions on flip-flops, his secret history as a sneaker fanatic and the unlikely origins of his style. THE WAY I DRESS: MR NICK WATERHOUSE!

Being a musician, the manner in which Mr Nick Waterhouse dresses is a vital part of his professional identity. And given the specificity of his songs - he plays determinedly retro guitar music inspired by 1960s-era R & B - it's no surprise that his taste in clothes is similarly focused on the classics. In terms of image Mr Waterhouse's videos principally reveal a penchant for horn-rimmed spectacles and neatly combed hair, but in this exclusive film he talks of his love for the classic Oxford shirt, his antipathy for what he calls athletic wear, and the distinction between presentation and preening

THE WAY I DRESS: HENRIK LUNDQVIST

The Swedish NHL goaltender, Mr Henrik Lundqvist, tells us how he gets ready for a night on the town.

Leading the field in both sport and style is no mean feat, yet it's something that 30-year-old Mr Henrik Lundqvist can boast confidently. Looking equally at home in a tailored suit as he is in a hockey kit, this year Mr Lundqvist won the Vezina Trophy for best NHL goaltender and Most Stylish Athlete at the New York Style Awards. "I dress the way I feel comfortable," he says. "Coming from Sweden, I had a different style. I heard a lot of comments about my suits and skinny jeans. It was definitely a different look." While Mr Lundqvist's sporting achievements may seem rather effortless - he was named "King Henrik" after his rookie season and led Sweden to its second Olympic gold medal in the 2006 Winter Olympics - he reminds us that sartorial success comes with patience. "I learnt from my mistakes. You need a time in your life where you search for your answers." Hear more from Mr Lundqvist in our exclusive film below.
