HEY BEACHES!

Shooting from doorless helicopters, this series by Guy Malin has been photographed around the world from the U.S. to Brazil to Australia. Inspired to take aerial shots from the balcony of a hotel in Las Vegas, Malin immediately become intrigued by the spectacle the different perspective he achieved from above. A few months later, Malin was at Art Basel Miami Beach and realised he should be shooting from the sky, not the hotel balcony. It was then that A la Plage, A la Piscine was born.

In each location, Malin hires a private helicopter, ensuring that the door is removed. There’s only a couple of seconds to shoot and capture, which is what makes this series even more impressive. It is difficult not to love these images; the colour, the vibrancy, the elements of play and the beauty of the water. However, these are not just visually pleasing photographs of a simple beach or pool. From above, these locations become a blank canvas that allow Malin to see the world as art. People and objects become patterns creating repetition, shape and form. Fancy a holiday?

IBIZA HOT SPOTS: WHERE TO GO, WHAT TO WEAR!

Ibiza in 2012 is all about quality of experiences. Whether it's lashings of luxury and world-class entertainment at Lío, or roughing it on the rocks in the pursuit of seafood perfection, there's something for everyone and every wallet.

IBIZA: THE ISLANDERS

 TIPS
1. Try to avoid the end of July and August; come mid-May or early October, it's really beautiful.
2. Don't try to plan too much in Ibiza. It's not a place to make tight plans, they will all go out of the window very quickly, I guarantee.
3. White-ibiza.com - even a lot of the islanders check in regularly to be kept in the loop with the coolest parties and events. That and to forget about the obvious contenders for the sunset and instead head to Kumharas on the other side of the bay to catch the real Balearic vibe.
4. Jumping off the rocks at Cala Salada beach.
5. Take a road less travelled and let yourself drift away, taking some of the beautiful country roads, and stop at some place you normally wouldn't.

VILLAGE AFTER VILLAGE!

This is how my Spanish holiday goes so far, from one 'village' to another
from one medieval festival to another, from one 'fiesta' to another..
The only good part is: I love it! I don't think I know about Romanian
traditional dances not even half of what I know now about the Spanish ones.
And I'm not proud of it, but try going to a folklore festival in Romania,
filled with teenagers, drinking on the street, joy&happiness..A WHAT?!
my Romanian 'readers' will exclaim!!! Yeap, this is how things go on
around here..Lot of culture, tradition, folklore, most of it organised
by teenagers! And this is how their tradition will last! Congrats!
Anyway I had a brilliant week, and apparently there is another one
(or two) to come, full of cultural activities, concerts, medieval battles,
archery workshops, feasts, booze and most important family&sun!
(I don't get to see them much the rest of the year)
Banda Simfònica Unió Musical de Benaguasil
 Director: José Javier Guna Vilar
This was a little getaway from my regular 'fashion' posts..
Don't take it personally, I wrote it for me, not for you..
For you though, in about 2-3 weeks I will be cruising around
Costa Brava, Costa del Sol and whatever other Costas Spain has
to offer, with nice shots, pretty boats, boobs and exquisite outfits!
Have a nice Sunday!
