STARS IN THEIR CARS!

There is more to being well dressed than just the clothes. It's about the life as well as the wardrobe, and a man's method of transport is an important element of the stylish life. We're promiscuous when it comes to transportation: we're big fans of cycling and we're certainly not above public transport, but we also love driving. It's undoubtedly easier to make a good impression if you emerge from the cabin of an Italian coupé, rather than from an underground station, and if you're offering someone a lift home after dinner it's more tempting if she knows that you've got the keys to an Aston in your pocket, rather than the keys to a D-lock. This is something the men in the photographs, above, knew well, and they set an almost unbeatable benchmark when it comes to automotive style.

DRIVER STYLE: MR DAVID GREEN!

Lying on the sweeping gravel driveway are the sleek silver and gun-metal grey forms of the fourth-generation Range Rover, the remodelled Aston Martin DB9 and the Jaguar F-Type, all of them new for 2013. Standing alongside them, dressed suitably for the sub-zero conditions in a Schott G1 shearling bomber jacket, is racing enthusiast Mr David Green. 

As a former fashion model, Mr Green is certainly a man at home in front of the camera - and behind it, too, in his current job as owner of production company Giant Film & TV - but his real passion is motorsport. 

"It's intoxicating - the adrenalin, the sound, everything about it," says the 40-year-old, describing the experience of driving a racing car. "You could take anybody who thinks they can drive fast on the road, and they would not believe the difference. It's an incomparable feeling."
