SURF SPOTS, FROM BALI TO CALI!
Surfers know their beaches. As they should. They spend the majority of their time there, straddling the fluid, sometimes magical line where ocean meets land. Their primary concern though is riding waves and it's the quest to find those waves that has fuelled a six-decade-long search spanning the entire globe. This wave lust has led the most adventurous surfers to scour every nook and cranny of even the most remote coastlines, and as you'd imagine, they've stumbled upon some gorgeous locales in the process. MR PORTER has compiled a list of eight surf spots that are sure to awe whether you're looking at the horizon, or back towards the land, or riding the waves between them. Click through the gallery, below, to discover more. surfermag.com

MORNING ROUTINE!
A short featuring John John Florence titled, "AGAIN". Documenting the travels from Fiji to Bali.
John John Florence (18 October 1992) is a Hawaiian surfer. He was born in Honolulu and claims he rode a surf board at the age of six months, wearing a life vest on his father John's board; he was riding on his own by the age of three.
Florence became well known in the winter of late 2005 and early 2006 when he became the youngest ever surfer to compete in the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing. He won the Vans World Cup of Surfing on December 2, 2011, making him the youngest contestant to have won this prestigious honor.
His signature move is getting shacked at pipe, and his worst injury was a broken back.[6] He also enjoys skateboarding, snowboarding and drawing.

THE OTHER HEMISPHERE: SWIM SHORTS!
As some of you are already snow-covered, I'm pretty sure this one goes to those of you searching for the perfect waves somewhere in the Indian Ocean or South Pacific at the moment.
To showcase some of our favourite swimming shorts, which are currently available MR PORTER, we headed to the British coast with Mr Jago Peachey. Hailing from London, where he works as an electrician, Mr Peachey, 32, is a keen amateur surfer and was recently signed to Select Model Management, having previously walked in a few street-cast runway shows during London Collections: Men. Surfing and working don't always go hand-in-hand, though. "I was [on a shoot] in Lanzarote recently, where the waves are amazing, but it's quite dangerous because it's over volcanic rock. The photographer didn't let me go, because he was worried I'd ruin my face," he laughs.
Mr Peachey learnt to surf in 2005 in Máncora, Peru, and has devoted as much time as possible to the sport ever since. "For the following five years I went away from December to May, spending my time surfing in Ecuador and Peru," he says. "The surf is amazing in Peru, and it's pretty much their national sport. The [2004] female world champion SofÃa Mulánovich is from there." And does he have any tips for budding surfers, besides asking for advice when needed and respecting surf etiquette? "Don't think you're in Point Break and pick up a short board if you're still learning," he chuckles. "To start with you won't be able to stand up on a short board.
