Kate Moss hasn’t been photographed for the cover of a men’s magazine in 17 years – now she’s back, as the star of Esquire’s September issue. The exclusive shoot by photographer Craig McDean and stylist Kate England is the first time since Arena in 1996 that Moss has posed for a men’s title. Before that it was Esquire again, 20 years ago, in 1993.
Two decades on, Moss’s powers remain undiminished. Still one of the sexiest, stylish and alluring women on the planet she is also, as Esquire editor Alex Bilmes puts it, “a uniquely British figure” – perfect for our ‘Made In Britain’ issue.
"For too long [Kate Moss] has been monopolised by women’s fashion magazines," says Bilmes. "So I am thrilled that we’ve persuaded her to front our special issue dedicated to this country’s most stylish people and products. I really can’t imagine anyone better suited to the job."
