THE ENJOYMENT OF COOKING!
The enjoyment of cooking, eating and drinking is an important element of a life well lived, which is why MR PORTER asked a select group of men they admire to cook for them their signature dish.
In the first of the new MR PORTER series Mr Damon Brandt, a New York-based art dealer and consultant, shares his recipe for a healthy supper of quinoa, prawns and tomatoes, served with a fig, rocket and pea-shoot salad. Mr Brandt's dish is easy to emulate, quick to prepare and perfect for a light weekday supper. He doesn't reveal what he'd drink with it, but we'd go for a glass or two of Albariño wine, from Galicia in northwest Spain.
Mr Brandt opened his first gallery in SoHo in the early 1980s and currently runs an art advisory service out of his loft in TriBeCa, working with high net worth private collectors and international public institutions. Salt Mine Projects is the company that oversees his diverse range of curatorial projects.

DUPĂ DEALURI (2012) BEYOND THE HILLS! & DESPRE OAMENI SI MELCI (2012) OF SNAILS AND MEN!
So, whether you've heard about Romania or not (at least on the news or something. if not, just click on 'Romania'), about Cristian Mungiu or not (winner of Palme d'Or in 2007 with 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days..I strongly like to believe that at least 2% of fashionspam readers watch quality films)..
Anyway, I totally forgot what I wanted to say, because all I can think about is the rain outside and the fact that I have to take my suit (I mentioned before) to the dry cleaner (And I DON'T trust dry cleaners)..
So (agian 'so'), no matter what I said before, just give Beyond the Hills (2012) a try! You might start watch Florin Piersic and Sergiu Nicolaescu films after..Haha, you have no idea who they are? Just google them..Have a good day!
My second recommendation is Tudor Giurgiu's comedy Of Snails and Men (2012). If you didn't know Mungiu, I'm pretty sure you have no idea who Tudor Giurgiu is. But you should definitely watch his Somewhere in Palulila (producer), Ursul (executive producer) & LOVE SICK (one of my fav Romanian films).

ACNE'S DRIVING FORCE: MR PONTUS BJÖRKMAN!
Based in Stockholm, Mr Pontus Björkman, 40, is the head of brand development at Acne. Indeed, he has worked at this Scandinavian design powerhouse since 1997, just one year after it was founded, and is affectionately known as "employee No.3" within the company. This means that he has witnessed first hand how Swedish style has won over the world in the years since Acne began with nothing more than a few pairs of jeans. When it comes to his personal style, Mr Björkman's main rule is to dress his age: "I have a problem with people who don't dress their age," he says. Favouring a sleek look, composed of high-quality jeans and T-shirts (both specialities at Acne), Mr Björkman also emphasises the importance of good footwear: "I think you really need to wear good-looking shoes!" he says, "not necessarily brogues or something like that... they could be sneakers, but they need to be nice sneakers."
